A shooting in a Mesa neighborhood injured a teen and damaged several occupied homes, police said Wednesday.

Officers responded to Lazona Drive and McKellips Road just before 8 p.m. Aug. 19 after receiving reports of gunshots. One caller reported bullet holes in their front door while another caller said their 13-year-old had been shot.

Officers found the teen in the 2000 block of Hunt Circle. He had a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg, police said.
