MANCHESTER, N.H. —
Some of New Hampshire's key services for crime victims are temporarily offline, including restitution payments and the system that notifies victims about their offenders.

Executive Councilor Janet Stevens said the system has been down since mid-May, and victims and their families weren't told about the outage or informed when the system would be back up again.
"I myself am a crime victim, and unfortunately, throughout the years, restitution payments are very spotty," said state Rep. Kathleen Paquette, R-Manchester. "So, I've had to, unfortunately, advocate for myself in calling."
Paquette is supposed to get monthly restitution checks. After only receiving one of her monthly payments this year, she called her contact at the Department of Corrections.
