The SEC schedule is changing.

Beginning in the 2026 season, Missouri football and its conference-mates will play nine league games each year, the SEC announced Thursday. The move comes a day after the College Football Playoff announced that it will give more weight to teams that play stronger schedules when deciding on the field.

Divisions are not coming back, meaning the league isn’t returning to an East and West format. The conference will remain in a single-standings format, as was the case last season and this season.
