A 70-year-old Avon man died when the vehicle he was driving failed to make a turn and rolled onto its side, the Montana Highway Patrol said Thursday.
The Ford F150 pickup truck was northbound on Beck Hill Road at U.S. Highway 12 east near Garrison about midnight Wednesday when the driver failed to negotiate a right-hand curve. The vehicle went straight and hit a fence and embankments. The vehicle turned over on its passenger side, the MHP said.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was dead on arrival, MHP officials said.
Alcohol is suspected in crash, the MHP said. Road conditions were dry.
