A 34-year-old Ancaster man faces multiple weapons charges laid by Six Nations Police.

Police received a report on Tuesday afternoon, August 19, from a person who said a firearm was pointed at them during a verbal altercation the previous day.

The incident occurred at a warehouse on Seneca Road, and police say a firearm was discharged resulting in “minor injuries from a projectile”.

Police took the suspect into custody and laid charges of firearm pointing; possession for a dangerous purpose; assault with a weapon; firearm: unauthorized possession; firearm: knowledge of unauthorized possession; careless use of firearm, weapon, ammunition; and two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

The accused was held in custody for a formal bail hearing.
