LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Lutheran faced one of the toughest schedules in the state last season, yet qualified for the Class C2 playoffs. The Warriors hope to reach the post-season again this fall with the same slate of opponents.

Lincoln Lutheran returns starters at 17 positions and boasts a talented senior class. South Dakota State commit Grant Kuhlmann leads the Warriors into the 2025 campaign, along with two-way speedster Trenton Ernst.

Lincoln Lutheran opens the upcoming season against rival Lincoln Christian on Aug. 29. The Warriors hope to reclaim the Spirit Sword, which the Crusaders won with a 28-14 victory in Week 1 last year.

Lincoln Lutheran players said the team has strong brotherhood, which developed during intense off-season workouts.
