EAST PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Illinois Central College is reporting another boost in enrollment this fall, marking the school’s sixth consecutive semester of growth.

As of Aug. 20, more than 8,200 students are enrolled for the fall 2025 semester, representing a 2.5% increase from last year. Students also registered for 2,013 more credit hours than a year ago, reflecting a 3% overall rise.

Growth among adult learners and students of color

Adult student enrollment saw the biggest jump, climbing 10.5% compared to fall 2024. Enrollment among students of color also grew by 3.4%. ICC leaders said those increases are tied to efforts to expand access and create flexibility for learners, balancing work, family, and school.
