RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - A man who told police he was heading to Burning Man has been arrested on drug charges.
On July 24. at around 9:47 p.m., an officer with the Yerington Police Department pulled over a cargo van that had obstructed plates and was seen driving left of the center line on the highway.
The driver, David Haynes, told the officer he was passing through Yerington on his way to Black Rock City for Burning Man.
A K9 conducted an open air sniff on the vehicle, resulting in a positive alert for the presence of narcotics.
A search of the van revealed 104 grams of crack cocaine, 6.1 grams of meth, ecstasy, psilocybin mushrooms, 9.0 grams of Molly, 9.9 grams of DMT, 3.4 2CB, LSD tabs and multiple vape pens suspected of containing 2CB.
