SUPERIOR, Wis.– Everyone can go birding, and a group of nonprofits, and outdoor enthusiasts around Superior are proving this time and time again.

For the fourth year now, Friends of the Lake Superior Reserve has been organizing birding trips each year.

To make the outings as accessible as possible, just about every type of accommodation is included.

Binoculars, track chairs, wheelchairs, an ASL interpreter, and even a bus is provided to invite as many birders as possible.

“I think it’s really great that we’ve been doing these events for so long now, because folks have heard about them, and then know about them, and then just know that they can come and feel welcome when they show up, and we’re getting better at it too,” said Natalie Chin, Outreach S
