It’s felt like #TheRivalry has lost some luster over the past few seasons, aside from Rafael Devers tormenting the Yankees, as Boston has kinda scuttled around mediocrity. Now, Devers is on the West Coast, the Red Sox have a full complement of potential future Yankee Killers, and the Yankees themselves come into this big four-game set red hot.

New York has won seven of their last eight, coming off back to back sweeps of the Cardinals and Rays. They’ve got a tougher opponent tonight, sitting just a game and a half clear of the Red Sox in the Wild Card chase. Luis Gil is tasked with starting the first of these four games, his fourth outing of the year and while his return to the field against Miami was crummy, he’s been more than solid since.
