CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - The man acquitted of all charges in a deadly park shooting in Sikeston will now spend almost a decade behind bars for an assault stemming from a separate incident.
According to court records, 22-year-old Tanner Watkins was sentenced to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on Monday, August 18.
In June, he pleaded guilty to second-degree assault for an incident that happened in January on North Silver Springs Road .
