MANCHESTER, N.H. —
Granite Staters appear to be divided over Gov. Kelly Ayotte's performance in her first term.
In a new poll from the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, 47% of New Hampshire residents approve of the governor, compared to 46% who disapprove.
Her approval rating has dropped since June, when it was more than 50%.
When it comes to the reasons people approve or disapprove of the governor, both groups ranked her handling of education as the top issue.
The poll was conducted from Aug. 14-18 and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 2.7%.
