From a federal civil rights investigation to a riot where a guard was kidnapped, to the resignation of its CEO just this week, CoreCivic has faced intense scrutiny.
Now, some families with loved ones incarcerated at CoreCivic prison in the state and at least one district attorney are blaming the company’s alleged staffing shortages for rising violence behind bars.
Darrell Reynolds says CoreCivic failed his son, Brennan Reynolds, who was incarcerated at Whiteville Correctional Facility in Western Tennessee for a parole violation related to drug charges. The 35-year-ol
