In the words of the late, great Yogi Berra, "It's deja vu all over again."

Last week the Padres won three straight against the Giants heading in to a weekend series against the Dodgers where they had a chance to be in 1st place in the NL West on Sunday. Well, on Thursday afternoon the Friars topped the Giants 8-4, their third straight win over San Francisco to set up a weekend series against Los Angeles where once again 1st place is at stake.

Before we talk about that, let's look at what happened against a Giants team that is simply not very good.
