SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Many first responders gathered Thursday, Aug. 21 for the 2025 Law Enforcement Symposium.
The training event was held at the Shreveport Police Department’s training academy on Greenwood Road. Those who attended learned about emergency care topics and actionable techniques to help improve outcomes. Topics included:
wound care and bleeding control
management of cardiac arrest in equipment-laden public safety professionals
best practices in CPR/AED
hands-on application sessions
