GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - People in Green Bay are coming together to help make sure wheelchair users are safe and healthy.
“Options for Independent Living” held a wheelchair wash at Curative Connections on Thursday.
People helped wash wheelchairs, give safety inspections, check blood pressure, and provide a taco lunch.
People at the event tell us events like these are important to making sure they can live independently.
“If your wheelchair isn’t working, it limits your ability to be out in the community and to live a free and independent life,” says Lynn Meshke.
“It’s always important to maintain, just like a vehicle, you want to maintain your wheelchair or your mobility device,” says Brian Miller, a service technician with Numotion.
