WATERBURY, Conn. — This week, those living in Waterbury's Willow Street and Hillside Avenue neighborhoods might see more of a police presence, as well as a mobile command unit.
That mobile command unit is currently operating out of a minimart parking lot.
Police Chief Fernando Spagnolo said the department decided to add the mobile command post after multiple violent days in the neighborhood, including the shooting death of a 17-year-old girl last month on Willow Street.

Police say she was an innocent bystander, and her family adds she was just trying to break up a fight. Loved ones of Carizma Fox have a memorial set up for her across from where the command post is stationed.
