LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — A man was sentenced in a decades-old Henderson homicide.

Ricky Trader, 47, was sentenced to 10 to 25 years in the Nevada Department of Corrections. He was arrested in July 2024 on charges related the 2003 homicide in Henderson, during which Theresa Romano, 28, was killed.

Trader was taken into custody in the Reno area, booked into the Washoe County Detention Center, and then extradited.

DNA testing and the expansion of the Henderson Police Department Cold Case Unit were credited for Trader’s arrest in the 2003 homicide.
