INDIANAPOLIS — The first week of the 32nd season of Operation Football is finally here!

The first "Game of the Week" of the 2025 season will be a matchup of cross-town rivals, No. 3 Lawrence North and Lawrence Central.

Not only will this rivalry game be a part of the start to a new Indiana high school football season, but it will also be a rematch of last year's opening game.

One year ago, Lawrence North defeated Lawrence Central 33-26 in the season opening game, kicking off an 11-win season that ended with a 22-21 loss in the regional championship to eventual 6A state champion Brownsburg.

This year, the Wildcats, who were ranked third in the preseason coaches poll , are looking to go all the way to state. Meanwhile, the Bears just want to have a winning record.
