In the battle between two of the top teams in the Northern Lakes League, visiting Anthony Wayne topped Clay in four sets.
The Generals, led by sister outside hitter duo of Leah and Mallory Pike, extended their conference winning streak to 30 matches and remain undefeated on the season.
The scores were 25-10, 27-29, 25-16, 25-12.
“We knew coming in they were going to be our best competition out of the whole NLL,” Mallory Pike said. “We wanted to win in three, but we won overall, so we're still excited about that and can't wait to see what else we have for our season.”
The pair of Ball State University commits wreaked havoc throughout the match as Mallory ended the night with a team-leading 17 kills and Leah 14. Mallory Pike reached 1,000 kills for her career in the match.
