MOORHEAD — Residents from across Moorhead shared concerns about pedestrian safety at different intersections at a listening session with elected officials about safety around schools.
Rep. Heather Keeler, D-Moorhead, organized the community conversation on Thursday, Aug. 21, with the Kurdish American Development Organization. There, community members shared concerns about a crosswalk near Village Green Park, busy roads near Ellen Hopkins Elementary and heavy traffic at schools at pick-up and drop-off times.
Members of the Moorhead School Board, Moorhead City Council, Clay County Commission and state legislators attended the session, sharing ideas and observations about neighborhood sidewalks and roads.
