BELTON, Texas — The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team is expected to be one of the best teams in its conference, according to the American Southwest Conference (ASC) Preseason Poll released Thursday.
ASC head coaches and sports information directors took part in the poll, which saw Hardin-Simmons University on top with 29 points and five first-place votes. The Cowgirls went 17-2-2-2 in 2024 with an 8-0 record in conference play. HSU also won the regular-season and conference championship last fall.
UMHB women's soccer, also known as "The Cru," slotted second overall after receiving 27 points and three first-place votes. The team went 13-4-2 in 2024 with 6-2 mark in league play. Howard Payne University came in third place with 13 points after an 8-10 season. East Baptis
