The 2021 fourth-round pick and former starting cornerback was placed on injured reserve due to a heel injury, clearing the way for the 49ers to add former Kansas City Chiefs receiver Skyy Moore to the team after trading for him on Wednesday. This roster move ends Brown’s season before it can really begin.

Brown saw his rookie season cut short after a significant knee injury suffered against the Arizona Cardinals. He missed much of 2022 before a handful of snaps late in the season.
