GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - Greenville County Council is proposing new regulations for food trucks, aiming to regulate where they can operate and for how long.

"It allows for food trucks to be set up in proper areas, not to be set up in residential areas," said JJ Arrowood, Chief Fire Marshal of the Berea Fire Department.

The proposed ordinance would restrict food trucks from setting up in residential areas and require them to obtain permission from property owners. Additionally, food trucks would not be allowed to park in one location for more than a day unless there is a special event.

"I've had several people call me and say that a food truck was in the wrong area, and if I could remove them and I don't have that ability," added Arrowood.
