HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) -- The finish line is in sight for two out of three sections of the Ohio River I-69 crossing.

The project has been split into three sections. Section one Kentucky, section two the I-69 bridge, and section three is Indiana.

During the progress luncheon it was announced that section one project will be completed by October and section three will be completed by the end of next year. Some of the funding for the bridge will come from tolling.

"You have to identify how you are going to pay for these and alternative funding in the form of tolling is apart of the equation for the i69 bridge," spokesperson Mindy Peterson said.
