WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Water service has been restored after a major water main break left more than 700 Warner Robins residents without running water for days.

The break occurred Tuesday near Watson Boulevard, causing a sinkhole and exposing a 60-year-old pipe buried 30 feet underground. City crews worked around the clock to repair the aging metal pipe, which forced complex underground repairs and lane closures expected to last several days.

For residents like Eunice Clay, water is more than a convenience - it’s a lifeline.

“I have high blood pressure, I have diabetes, and I need to have water,” Clay said.

Clay, who is fighting cancer and relies on regular medication, said the water outage made everyday tasks difficult.
