LONGVIEW, Texas — LeTourneau University officials and Longview community leaders broke ground Wednesday on construction of a $15 million building that will expand the university’s aviation school.
Construction of a large building at the Paul and Betty Abbott Aviation Center will provide a 16,000-square-foot aircraft hangar and additional classroom space for the College of Aviation and Aeronautical Science.
University leaders estimate they’ll be able to accommodate 200 more aviation students, raising the program’s enrollment to roughly 500.
