We wrap up the week on a damp note for northern Minnesota, at least to start the day. Showers will be sliding into the arrowhead as we wake up Friday morning, but by the afternoon, we will still have a good bit of sun shining through after the showers slide out over Lake Superior. Highs top out in the upper 70s in the afternoon, with winds gradually turning to out of the west, but remaining light.

Friday night will get a little cooler, with lows dropping into the 50s and even a few upper 40s throughout the area. Then, as we head into the weekend, we are tracking a bit of a breeze picking up out of the northwest, which will bring in some cooler temperatures.
