MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A Memphis mother is facing charges after police said she lied about where her 11-year-old son was shot Wednesday afternoon. According to Memphis Police, 37-year-old Latoya Wallace drove her injured son to Memphis Fire Station 36 on S. Third St. Officers said Wallace gave conflicting accounts about where the shooting took place. Police records said she first claimed it happened Downtown, then said it occurred while they were walking to her sister’s apartment. Investigators later reviewed video evidence and determined the shooting did not happen at either location. Wallace was arrested and charged with false reporting.
