Manchester Pride is taking place this weekend in the city centre as thousands of people come together to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.
The main event taking place this weekend is the Manchester Pride Parade on Saturday afternoon, kicking off at 12pm on Liverpool Road. This year's theme is "love". Shared on the Pride website, the organisers have written: "Love has long been a source of strength and resilience for LGBTQ+ people.
"In the face of historical and ongoing discrimination, love has helped queer people have the courage to be themselves."
As well as the Pride Parade, there will be parties kicking off in Gay Village, with the Alan Turing Stage and the Indoor Arena open throughout the day and into the night for revellers to attend.
