A major milestone was marked this week as a Greater Manchester town unveiled its newly restored high street for the first time in 60 years. The historic King Street and Pinnington Lane in Stretford have both been transformed and a brand new public square has been created - Sir Tony Lloyd Square.
The restoration of King Street is part of Bruntwood and Trafford Council’s town centre masterplan. King Street will provide a thriving high street, with a mix of shops and services, hospitality and spaces for the community.
With the street now unveiled, all-day dining specialist Loungers have announced plans to open a bespoke café and bar called Fosforo Lounge 'on Stretford ’s newly-restored high street'.
Loungers is the first national hospitality brand to be announced on the new high street
