The Yankees were able to put out the fire with their five-game winning streak, but there’s still work to do. They made that much clear, putting together another mystifying nationally televised performance, issuing nine walks and committing four errors in the series-opening loss to the Red Sox. Max Fried goes to the mound tonight, looking to prevent a losing streak, and to break his own slump.
