CHICAGO (WLS) -- Cubs fans here in Chicago and baseball fans around the country are remembering Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg Friday.

"Ryno" as he was known to generations of fans, died last month after battling prostate cancer.

The funeral was held at Old St. Pat's Church on West Adams.

Family, friends, former players, were among those are in attendance including Cubs Legend Kerry Wood and White Sox Hall of Famer Frank Thomas.

The funeral service was also being shown on the big screen at Gallagher Way, so fans can watch.

The Cubs invited Ryan Sandberg fans to come gather and watch the funeral service at Gallagher Way.

The service began promptly at 10 a.m. and it got quiet here at Gallagher Way.
