BUTLER COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A 34-year-old Poplar Bluff woman was seriously injured in a crash on Thursday afternoon, August 21.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 1:50 p.m. on U.S. 67, approximately 3 miles south of Poplar Bluff.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver was traveling south when her car went off the road, hit an embankment and flipped.

MSHP said the driver was thrown from the car.

She was then flown to a Memphis, Tennessee, hospital with serious injuries.

MSHP said the woman was not wearing a seat belt.

Troopers report a state sign was damaged in the crash and the woman’s car was totaled.
