CHARLOTTE — A look inside the numbers and snap counts from Thursday's 19-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Running back Trevor Etienne recorded a 28-yard run in the first quarter. It was the Panthers' longest run of the preseason.

In his Panthers preseason debut, quarterback Bryce Perkins completed 10-of-11 passes (90.9 percent.) for 71 yards and finished with a 93.6 rating.

Quarterback Jack Plummer connected on 7-of-14 passes (50.0 percent.) for 48 yards and one touchdown.

Third-year TE Dominique Dafney led the team with 21 yards on two catches (10.5 average) with a 13-yard reception in the second quarter.

Third-year TE James Mitchell reeled in his first touchdown of the preseason – a 7-yard reception from Plummer in the second quarter
