An EastEnders star has announced that they’re taking a break from the BBC soap after undergoing an operation.

There’s been a number of departures on the programme this year, including EastEnders legends James Bye , Patsy Palmer and Natalie Cassidy.

On top of this, Bernie Taylor actress Clair Norris and Felix Baker’s Matthew James Morrison were written off in the early days of new Executive Producer Ben Wadey’s EastEnders era.

The coming months will also see Stacey Slater actress Lacey Turner and Freddie Slater’s Bobby Brazier leaving the programme.

One star who fans will not see much heading into the final months of the year is Ross Boatman , who has played taxi driver Harvey Monroe since 2021.
