Amy Dowden has responded to a fan's suggestion that this should be her winning year on Strictly Come Dancing as she offered an update on her health.

The professional dancer couldn't be happier to be returning to the hit dance show for the 2025 run, having been announced in the pro line-up by the BBC earlier this year.

As fans will know, Amy wasn't able to take part in Strictly's 2023 series after being diagnosed with breast cancer and subsequently undergoing a single mastectomy and gruelling chemotherapy treatment.

She then made a triumphant return last year, but the 35-year-old's run in the 2024 edition of the BBC One dance contest, where she was paired with JLS singer JB Gill, was sadly cut short following a foot injury.
