Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski might be free from the whole "naming starting quarterback" pressure, but he is still surrounded by all the anticipation to announce their backup QB.
Their intense positional battle this offseason is partly the reason for the anticipation. Kenny Pickett, who was initially the favorite to be named the starter, is nursing a hamstring injury.
That leaves the backup QB battle to rookies Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel. Or Stefanski could hand the keys to Tyler 'Snoop' Huntley, his recent roster addition.
With the Browns already en route to their third preseason game, Stefanski admitted not having decided on a backup QB yet. But he did give his team a hint on how to emerge as a top candidate.
