Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo

Nuno Espirito Santo has cast doubt over his future at Nottingham Forest by saying there is ‘no smoke without fire’.

The Reds head coach penned a new three-year deal at the City Ground two months ago after leading the club into Europe for the first time in 30 years. But the Portuguese has now admitted his relationship with owner Evangelos Marinakis has changed.

Prior to Forest’s first game of the Premier League season, Nuno admitted to being concerned over the make-up of his squad for the new campaign. A further four signings have been added since then and the Reds beat Brentford 3-1 at the City Ground on the opening weekend.
