Great news, Brooklyn brunchers: Gertie is being resurrected. The Jewish-American neo-luncheonette, which had been charming borough diners with its bubbe-approved menu of bialy sandwiches, whitefish salad and crispy latkes since 2019, broke local hearts when husband-wife owners Nate Adler and Rachel Jackson announced that the all-day restaurant would be closing its doors on June 15. However, after a Gertie-less few summer months, the resto is being revived at a new address this fall.
