At least one person was shot at Ingalls Shipbuilding on Friday morning, according to multiple reports.

WLOX-TV was the first to receive confirmation from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department that gunfire rang out at the Pascagoula shipyard around 7:30 a.m. The victim’s condition is unknown at this time.

Ingalls Shipbuilding, the state’s largest manufacturer with over 11,000 employees, has since alerted all personnel to shelter in place due to what appears to still be an active situation.

“We are urging all personnel to shelter in place and to await further instructions. Law enforcement was promptly notified and is currently at the shipyard and responding to the situation,” a statement reads. “We will provide updates as soon as we have more information.
