TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Thursday night – city, county, and police officials heard from residents on Tucson’s east side about the safety of their own backyards, and for the most part, they don’t feel great about it.
Pima County Attorney Laura Conover, Ward 2 Council Member Paul Cunningham, and Tucson Police Operations Division East Captain Matt Brady came together because of a baseball team.
In her second town hall with a Tucson City ward this year, Conover said she got an email saying the Sabino Canyon Little League needed her help to clean up Udall Park.
“We don’t want [our kids] finding drugs in the dugouts, we don’t want them finding hypodermic needles in the batting cages,” Sabino Canyon Little League President Brad Balazs said.
