PITTSBURGH Steelers first-round pick Derrick Harmon was spotted in tears after being carted off the field with a concerning knee injury.

The 23-year-old NFL player got injured during the team's final preseason game.

The Steelers visited the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night.

Unfortunately, the defensive tackle Harmon was carted off the field due to a knee injury.

Harmon appeared to be in pain as he was quickly put onto the cart in Charlotte.

The cameras then showed Harmon fighting back tears with a tower over his head as he was being driven back to the locker room so he could get medical help.

The Steelers then ruled out him out for the rest of the contest.

There were fears over a significant injury over the rookie player.
