SUPER BOWL champions Philadelphia Eagles have been dealt a devastating blow on the eve of the NFL season.
It comes after wide receiver Johnny Wilson was ruled out for the ENTIRE 2025 season.
Rumours had first emerged on Thursday that Wilson had suffered a major injury in practice this week.
And that news was confirmed on Friday after he was placed on injury reserve.
Wilson, a sixth-round pick in 2024, picked up the injury on Tuesday when his leg rolled up during a running play.
He had left on a cart after being evaluated in the medical tent.
And the 24-year-old will now undergo surgery on his knee and ankle.
His loss will be a major dent to their hopes of retaining the championship after he played in a third of the Eagles' offensive snaps last season.
