HARTFORD, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The seventh annual Public Safety Day is coming back to the Hartford Fire and Rescue station this Saturday, Aug. 23.

The event will promote health, accident, and injury prevention, as well as safety.

There will be numerous exhibitors participating this year, including:

South Dakota Highway Patrol

Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office

Sioux Valley Energy

Seniors Helping Seniors

South Dakota Emergency Management

South Dakota Game

Fish and Parks

Army National Guard

South Dakota Safety Council

Big Paws Canine

The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. and last until 12:30 p.m.

There will be a junior firefighter obstacle course available.

Self-guided tours through the fire safety trailer will be open, as well.
