As he prepares for his first season since returning as West Virginia’s head football coach, the Blue & Gold News had a chance to conduct an exclusive one-on-one interview with Rich Rodriguez.

Blue & Gold News – How long did it take you to feel comfortable again at West Virginia?

Rich Rodriguez – “Typically in a new job it takes six to 12 months to start to feel comfortable, but for me here, it probably took six minutes. A lot of the same people are in place. The facilities have definitely been upgraded, but it was an easy transition.”

B&GN – What are the biggest changes for the program since you previously coached here?

Rodriguez – “The landscape in college football has certainly changed with revenue-share and for the coaches and all that. That stuff is always changing.
