A “positive attitude” from students has helped ensure that levels of attainment have improved at all examination levels in South Lanarkshire this year following the release of the results. ‌

The welcome news comes as schools return following the summer holidays with the results having been analysed in detail. ‌

Compared to last year’s results, levels of attainment have shown improvements in Nationals, Highers and Advanced Highers as well as National Progression Awards, Skills for Work Awards and National Certificates and Awards. ‌

Councillor Gavin Keatt, acting chair of the council’s Education Resources Committee has welcomed the progress being made.
