As of July 31, the lower St. Lawrence River was experiencing abnormally dry conditions, while Lake Ontario and the upper St. Lawrence River regions were experiencing a moderate drought.
The International Lake Ontario-St. Lawrence River Board shared this information in an update about seasonal water level observations on Thursday. A Government of Canada drought monitor map , created on Aug. 11, shows how many parts of Canada are experiencing abnormally dry conditions to extreme drought.
