Astros' Jésus Sánchez makes MLB history to break out of slump

The Houston Astros acquired outfielder Jésus Sánchez from the Miami Marlins at the 2025 MLB trade deadline, and he began producing right away.

Sánchez recorded a hit in seven of his first eight games with the Astros' and was hitting .272 with five doubles. However, then Sánchez went into a slump.

The Astros' new outfielder went 10 straight games without a hit, finding himself with 32 straight hitless at-bats. His season average dropped from .257 to .238, and the Astros had lost five of their last six games. But, that changed in a big way on Thursday.
