For the third time this season, a player has reached a long-term contract extension shortly after making their MLB debut. The latest to do so? Samuel Basallo , who is reportedly finalizing an eight-year, $67 million deal with the Orioles after just four games in the Majors. The club hasn't confirmed the deal.

Basallo's deal comes after Roman Anthony signed an eight-year, $130 million deal with the Red Sox on Aug. 6, less than two months removed from the outfielder's first MLB game. Earlier this season, Boston signed Kristian Campbell to an eight-year, $60 million contract just days after the second baseman made his big league debut in the season opener.
